About CPSNB

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick has responsibility within the province of New Brunswick, Canada for:

  • the licensing of physicians
  • monitoring standards of medical practice
  • investigating complaints against physicians

In addition to these three primary areas of responsibility, the College is often approached for advice in ethical, medical-legal, and general quality of care matters. The College operates under the authority of the Medical Act and applicable regulations.

You have concerns about the doctor’s conduct or ethics. Examples include issues related to behavior, communication, conflicts of interest, breaches of privacy, or off-duty criminal conduct.

If you think you experienced sexual abuse or harassment by a New Brunswick doctor, we urge you to contact us at (506)849-5050, ext. 2. An experienced staff member is available to answer your questions or help you through the complaints process.
