Telemedicine can be practised into New Brunswick, in certain circumstances, under the Telemedicine Regulation.  The service must be considered acceptable to the Council of the College.

Such generally relates to services covered on an insured basis by New Brunswick Medicare through a reciprocal billing.  It is always coordinated through a Telemedicine program in New Brunswick.

It does not include services for which there is a direct report being provided to a hospital institution in New Brunswick, such as in the case of pathology or radiology.  Those services, as well as those which are not available on an insured basis, require a licence.  Otherwise it is sufficient to be listed on the Telemedicine Provider List. Such is available, without fee, upon application.
