Licensure in New Brunswick
Border Area Licence
Due to geography and historical ties, there are longstanding provisions for physicians practising in border jurisdictions to obtain licensure for occasional practice in New Brunswick. This includes physicians in directly neighboring provinces, as well as the State of Maine. The essential requirement for a Border Area Licence is a current licence to practise medicine or osteopathy in that province or state, as well as residency there.
